The Big Bad!

Thursday Casting Call.

Time to cast another role in the movie Ember.

The hero can only be special with the RIGHT antagonist. The big bad! My original pick for Devon Wahlberg (arch rival to Max Valentine) was Kellan Lutz.

He's best known for the "Twilight" franchise but before all the sparkly vampires he was "king ding-a-ling" on the relaunched 90210. His big build and cocky swagger fit Devon's character perfectly. With the relaunch of Ember just around the corner (Feb. 29th 2012) you'll see what I mean...

This week i could use some answers...just like Max does in chapter 7 of EMBER. This song is the background to the events of a less than stellar, first day at a new school...

I love this band and this song. I hope to one day have them on my "official" soundtrack of the upcoming EMBER movie....

Casting Call - Uncle Frank

Thursday Casting Call!

Favorite day of the week on my blog!

Today we cast Frank Valentine from the Ember series. The protective and fun spirited voice of reason in the story. He would be played perfectly by Andrew Lincoln (Rick from The Walking Dead).

His acting is phenomenal, his show is perfection and I would love to have a presence like that in my movie for Ember. Uncle Frank's story arc gets very...dramatic...in the course of the series.

....Caleb Rivers

He is best known for Pretty Little Liars and a web series called Wendy. He has the bangs and brown eyes. If he can pull of the "rocker" vibe than we have a winner!

Today I highlight a song from the soundtrack for book 3 in the Ember series, AFTERSHOCK. Stone Temple Pilots "Sour Girl". This song sets a playful yet somber tone for a certain girl in my series. (EXTRA POINTS IF YOU CAN GUESS WHICH ONE!)
